Dr. Nurettin ARSLAN, Head of the Archaeology Dept. at ÇOMÜ and Director of Excavations at Assos, will give a talk entitled "Abydos, a Forgotten City" at the Çanakkale City Museum on 22 April at 18.00. Both Abydos to the north of Çanakkale and Assos to the south were thriving centres of commerce and learning in the Dardanelles region during Hellenistic times.
