YÖS  (University Entrance Examination for International Students) EXAM 

 

AND EQUIVALENTS   

 

  • YÖS University Entrance Examination for International Students)  examination has been designed for foreign students wishing to study in Higher Education Institutions in Turkey and on the results of this examinaton they can apply to Turkish Institutions of Higher Education.

  • The examination is prepared and administrated by Student Selection and Placent Centre(OSYM)  www.osym.gov.tr.

  • A score of at least 40 from YOS is required

  • The result of the examination is valid for two years

EQUIVALENT INTERNATIONAL EXAMS   

The other international exam result accepted by the university are listed below 

  

SAT I

 Minimum grade of  1000

ACT (American College Testing)

 Minimum grade of 21

GCE (General Certificate Education)

 

 A Level Certificate from at least 2 lessons 

I.B. International Baccalaureate

 

 Minimum diploma grade of 28

ABITUR (German Baccalaureate)

 Minimum diploma grade of 4

French Baccalaureate

 Minumum diploma grade of 12

Tawjihi

for students from Jordan and Palestine

 A percentage average of above 80 % from Scientific

 Stream

Baccalauréat Libanais

(for Lebanese students)

 A minimum diploma grade of 14 from Scientific Stream

 

Al-Shahada-Al-Thanawiyya (Baccalaureate)

(for students from Syria)
 

 for the programs in the Faculties of Engineering and

 Architecture: a score of 180(out of 240) from Scientific

 Stream
 

  for other programs:
  Ascore of 170 (out of 240) from Scientific Stream

 

GAOKAO

Entrance Examination in China

 

 A score of 480 (out of 750) from the stream related to the

 program being applied to.

International Science Olympiads

 A gold, silver or bronze medal from one of these

 olympiads that are recognized by Scientific and Technical

 Research Council of the Turkish Republic (TUBITAK)
